Goose Runs from Baltimore to DC and Back Again

Gilbert, the flightless goose, had a busy weekend. He spent Friday night at the Baltimore Book Festival—the Mid-Atlantic region’s largest celebration of the literary arts with more than 60,000 visitors a year.

Then, he ran all the way to Washington, DC for the National Book Festival on Saturday. More than 120,000 people came to celebrate books at the nation’s capitol. All the while, the Flightless Goose maintained a presence at the Baltimore Book Festival.

On Sunday, Gilbert was back in full force at the Baltimore Book Festival with magnets and fliers and gift bags that proclaimed website www.RunGoose.com.

Along the National Mall in DC, where the hundred thousand people celebrated reading, Flightless Goose magnets decorated all of the lamp posts. Children and their parents enjoyed the magnets, sometimes reading them, sometimes even taking the free gifts with them.
